Well it’s the eve of launch day for Rewind Dave. And this is where I attempt to get a little bit more organized. Not gonna lie I’m a little nervous about releasing my first comedy even if it is still loaded with stats, action, fight scenes and stuff.
I have a pretty raw sense of humor. I am a very sarcastic individual and this series is a showcase of not just my humor. But the humor and humorous situations of some of the funniest people in my life. A lot of people have at least one friend they can think of that’s their own version of Dave Davidson. I was fortunate enough to have a baker’s dozen!
This series reflects scenarios and events both from my own life and theirs, wrapped up in fantasy form and a nice LitRPG candy coating. Some of these friends might one day read this book. And quickly realized that that particular moment that Dave is facing down might just have had something to do with their own antics.
Although some of the jokes and funny moments may have been inspired by such events, this was not based on a true story. Or at least I don’t think so. I do have a couple of those good friends that are no longer with us. Possible, just possible, just maybe… somewhere out there my own Dave is running around building stats and getting himself into trouble!
I have decided to dedicate this manuscript to all of the Dave Davidsons out there in my life and in yours!
Rewind Dave will release at 4 am PST on Royal Road. I have it set to release a new chapter every 45 minutes for the first 10 chapters.
In other news, next week I will start releasing the last 10 chapters of The Second Cradle. Because apparently I just want the rest of my hair to turn gray. So why not have two daily chapter release stories going on Royal Road at the same time?
But I’ve had some loyal readers over there who have been waiting patiently for me to make some adjustments to the ending. I was not happy with the direction the arc was going anyway. And I started feeling like I was just being forced to push chapters just to maintain a schedule rather than wrap it up proper.
I’m excited about those chapters as well and I hope that everybody likes the direction that I’ve taken it. I think it sets Book 3 up a lot better than where we were going originally. Speaking of Book 3 of the Iron Cradle series, it is still mostly outlined. But I will start sharing more of that here on Patreon as it progresses.
